The Tale of Four Idiots

You are an idiot. I am an idiot. We’re all idiots.

“The Tale of Four Idiots” is based on us believing we are just that, four idiots. We don’t view idiocy as being stupid or not having the knowledge to do something, but rather to take that knowledge and shove it right out the window. Or being fully convinced that you have the knowledge, when in reality you don’t.

"In the piece “The Tale Of Four Idiots”, we meet Employee 7528, Employee 6, Employee 404 and Employee 720, who all strive to become the employee of the month, and are willing to do whatever it takes to do so. Even if that means being forced to collaborate with one's workplace enemies, who also happens to be the world's biggest idiots

The piece is a site specific and audience specific piece that takes inspiration from movement practices such as physical theatre, clowning and contemporary dance. It very seriously and not at all humorously deals with what happens when we're being confronted with social norms when things don't go according to plan. Like, not at all humourously.

We're very serious about this stuff.

"When i shake your hand, my brain jiggles

I feel our spines connecting through the embracing touch of our phalanges

When your orbs of sight watches mine I wonder “How does thee envision?”

My silent hole of sound aches to tell you the truth about yourself; “Idiot”

My pieces of skin and cartilage neighboring each side of the floating

apple of my atlas bone listening to the longitudinal waves crash into

my tympanic membrane; my pathetic tympanic membrane

I feel my brain jiggle again,

Just like you, I may also be an idiot."
