OUR ARTISTS
Vittra Dance Collective consists of Emma Östlund, Lovisa Larsson, Felicia Landström, and Sofia Saxlund—four professional dancers and dance educators who work across artistic disciplines at the intersection of dance and theater. With a foundation in contemporary dance and physical theater, the performing arts collective plays with conventions surrounding dance and performativity through the production of stage performances, site-specific works, and workshops that explore themes such as absurdity, queerness, and Nordic folklore.

" Dance is a powerful medium that deals with the actuality of the now. Our job as artists is to capture tiny moments of life, cultivate them and shape them into something more. Being a dance-artist is to constantly live in the inbetween state of reality and fiction."
- Emma Östlund
"As a dance-artist I want to capture the unknown and unexplainable, and create a context where it makes total sense. Dance is a way to cope, control and change the world we live in; it's an experience where the body, mind and soul can create new possibilities and realities beyond the rules of our world."
- Lovisa Larsson
It seems like the trees
have eyes; they are creeping
An indistinguishable movement seen in the distance
A muffled hissing sound heard throughout the forrest
